As the Magic struggle in the first round, I am sure many Magic fans are starting to worry. How long until Dwight Howard demands a trade? Howard has a opt out of his contract in the summer of 2012. I believe the Nuggets have proved that you must trade your star before he opts out. The Cavs and Raptors learned that one the hard way. Rick Bucher recently said in an espn.com chat that he heard that Howard could get traded this offseason and that he prefers the Nets or Lakers. We also learned with the Melo deal that a player can almost force a trade to wherever they want. In this blog I will go over a few possible destinations but also the one trade that I think is perfect fit. Lakers- The deal Bynum and Odom plus 1st for Dwight Howard. I am not sure if this is the best move for Howard going forward, Him and Kobe would have a chance to win 2 or maybe 3 championships. After those years the Lakers would be an old team. The Shaq comparisons would grow as both would have been drafted one overall by the Magic and bolted for LA. Nets- The deal Lopez plus fillers and picks for Dwight Howard. This would be a great combo Deron Williams and Howard would be deadly and moving to Brooklyn in 2012 gives more incentive. The Nets do have some good role players as well. Bulls- Noah and Deng for Dwight Howard plus filler- Could you imagine Rose and Dwight Howard? With Boozer still on the Bulls too. This maybe the best deal for the Magic if they want to continue to contend but With Wade/LeBron and Rose/Howard, they rather rebuild. For fun Heat- LeBron for Dwight Howard- I believe this trade makes both teams better. Heat would have a true post presence. Magic would become a one man show with LeBron but with Nelson and others I think it would be a decent supporting cast for LeBron better than the team he has in Cleveland.
