After a great opening week for the the Blogs, going 5-0, it is time to see if we can keep the hot streak going. I thought it was a great run to go 5-0 until I talked to everybody, their mother, grandmother, baby sister, and cleaning lady Consuela who also had good weeks. It seems that everybody except for Walterfootball.com picked all the winners (surprise surprise).<!--more-->For those waiting for a Thursday night pick, I would have given you St. Louis, because there is no way in hell Kevin Kolb would be 5-0 to start the season. But that was not one of the picks of the week, so moving on to the picks:WEEK 4- 3-0 day games, 2-0 PrimetimeDAY GAMES:Atlanta Falcons @ Washington RedskinsOpening Line: +3Current Line: +3Blogs Pick: AtlantaAlthough Atlanta will have to lose eventually, it won't be this week. Matt Ryan is playing at a completely different level right now, and is finally starting to live up to the high draft pick used on him. On the flip side, the Redskins are playing without arguably the 2 best players on their defense, and barely escaped the Bucs. I look for RG3 to be bottled up against Mike Nolans rejuvenated Atlanta defense and the corners to create a few turnovers.Prediction: Atlanta 34, Washington 21Chicago Bears @ Jacksonville JaguarsOpening Line: +3.5Current Line: +5Blogs Pick: Da BearsLast week, my 2 favorite plays of the week were the Cincinnati money line (closed at EVEN, ha!!), and the Bears money line (look it up, I told you guys to take them). This week, the Jaguars get the Bears, and just like Cincinnati, the Bears are only 5 point favorites. Lovie Smith's teams don't usually play down to their opponents, and this one should be no different. As long as Blaine Gabbert is at QB for the Jaguars, I don't think the Jaguars have a shot.Prediction: Chicago 24, Jacksonville 6Denver Broncos @ New England PatriotsOpening Line: -7Current Line: -6.5Blogs Pick: PeytonI will start this off will a stat: The last 6 times Peyton Manning and Tom Brady have played, the dog has covered. Personally, I like the Broncos ML (which is currently +235) but I think Peyton +6.5 (buy to 7) is too good to pass up. Even if somehow the Patriots D wakes up, Peyton is going to dip and dunk down the field, and we will be in for a good one. I just personally think the Broncos D will get more stops than the Pats D, and that will be the difference.Prediction: Denver 35, New England 31SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALLSan Diego Chargers @ New Orleans SaintsOpening Line: -3Current Line: -4Blogs Pick: New OrleansCome on, this is a joke right? The Saints are 0-4. There is no way a team with one of the top 4 QBs in the league can start a season 0-5. San Diego is overrated in my opinion, they've beaten arguably the 3 worst teams in the NFL and when they played Atlanta, got killed. New Orleans makes a statement, at home, with Sean Peyton in the stands.Prediction: New Orleans 30, San Diego 20 MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALLHouston Texans @ New York JetsOpening Line: +7.5Current Line: +9Blogs Pick: HoustonNo Darrelle Revis. No Santonio Holmes. No Quarterback. Against arguably the most balanced team in the NFL. Yeah, Ok. The Jets fans are going to get on Sanchez early and often, and so will JJ Watt. I think tonight will be the game they try to unleash the full fledge WildJet, but it will fail just like everything else they have tried.Prediction: Houston 27, New York 10
